Design: Ramon Esteve

Posidonia was born as an evolution of an iconic piece that Ramón Esteve designed in 1996 and with which he entered the world of design. The collection was born in response to a problem that arose during the realization of the architectural project he designed himself in the paradisiacal Ibizan bay Na Xemena.

The need for designer furniture for outdoor use, in line with the philosophy of the house with very specific characteristics (mobility, resistance, serenity, timelessness....), led to a family of outdoor furniture that redefines the traditional concept of garden furniture and becomes a benchmark for design and a must-have for any contemporary space.

"This collection was the project where, for the first time, I was able to express my way of doing architecture in an immersive way and from many points of view: from the relationship with the place, physical and cultural, to the manipulation of the perception of the place to create an overall experience." In 2022, Vondom takes over the production of this famous family as part of a new edition christened Posidonia Collection. It harkens back to its Mediterranean origins and draws attention to the desire to protect the oceanic Posidonia meadows that are so important to the ecosystem. Posidonia is made of thermo-lacquered aluminum profiles in different shades and 100% recyclable HPL and is composed of numerous pieces such as sun loungers, bar tables, low tables, tables with wheels, chairs, stools, benches and armchairs.

Cleaning:
To clean the furniture, we recommend the occasional use of household grease solvents. Never use abrasives or corrosive solutions!
1- Pulverize the surface with grease remover.
2- Then rub the surface with a cloth moistened with water.
3- Then clean the surface with a high-pressure cleaner, e.g. from KÄRCHER or KRÄNZLE.
4- Then let it dry in the open air.

Protective covers:
Vondom protective covers are water, oil and dirt repellent impregnated and serve to protect the furniture. However, they are not suitable for permanent covering of the cushions, because moisture can accumulate along the seams of the covers, which may lead to the formation of mildew. Before using the protective covers, the furniture and cushions should always be dry. Please note that the slipcovers are specifically designed to fit your furniture and require precise placement. To increase air circulation, the slipcovers are not made floor-length. Never pack or fold up covers that have become wet; allow them to dry in a well-ventilated area. Use a soft cloth to clean the cover. Then rinse with clean water. Solvents are not suitable for cleaning as they may attack and damage or discolor the surface being treated.
