Roulette by Vondom: The innovative design rocking chair for indoor and outdoor areas. A coveted object to linger in.
VONDOM - ROULETTE series
The Roulette collection from VONDOM is a unique rocking chair. This playful creation can be used both indoors and outdoors, even in extreme weather conditions. As Eero Aarnio points out, the chair is the most ordinary, interesting and difficult object for any designer to create. When Eero started to design a chair for Vondom, he had the concept in mind that the leg should be a part of the chair body. As he has always liked rocking chairs and the round, rocking shape is easy to achieve with the rotation technique, he designed a chair that rocks in all directions and can also be rotated as it is in contact with the floor at one point. The high armrests give a feeling of security when turning the chair and also provide good support when sitting.
VONDOM - ROULETTE by Design EERO AARNIO
Eero Aarnio, the pioneering master of plastic design and a living legend of modern design, captured the legacy of pop culture and the spirit of his time with his iconic creations such as the Ball Chair (1963), the Pastil Chair (1968) and the Bubble Chair (1968). Many of Aarnio's works are exhibited in the world's most prestigious museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the MoMA in New York and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. He has designed the unique ROSINANTE, PEACOCK and ROULETTE collections for the Spanish design brand Vondom. With his design, Eero Aarnio once again brings creativity and functionality to the world of outdoor furniture and shows how art and everyday life can seamlessly intertwine.
