The traditional wood-burning fireplace - loved and warming at all times. Heating the house with a crackling fire is nothing new. The bioethanol fireplace - a novelty in this field - is considered in many places as an equal alternative to the wood fireplace. We think: He is even the better alternative, because he saves not only the purse, but also the environment. You could also say: an ethanol fireplace has numerous advantages.

Efficiency of the fireplace with bioethanol or wood: A big advantage of the ethanol fireplace is that the waste heat of the wood fire is omitted. Instead of disappearing largely through the chimney, the heat goes directly into the room where the fireplace is located, with an efficiency of 100%. A wood-burning fireplace, on the other hand, has an efficiency of only 70%. The Vauni ethanol fireplace achieves a maximum heat output of 2-3 kW. The heat is delivered directly and selectively, and can thus serve as a supplement to existing heating systems. In most cases, a Vauni produces just the right amount of heat for a cozy supplementary heating system. With ethanol fuel for the Vauni fireplace, the heating value is nearly four times that of wood. Thus, a Vauni ethanol fireplace is significantly more energy efficient than a wood fireplace for the same amount of heat. Choosing an ethanol fireplace also avoids the climate pollution and air pollution that wood fires can cause not only to the surrounding area, but as far away as the Arctic.

Saving money and time: choosing the right fireplace can save even more money. If you choose an ethanol-fueled fireplace, you are only buying the fireplace and the fuel. On the other hand, if you invest in a wood-burning fireplace, a building permit for a chimney must first be obtained, then the fireplace and chimney must be purchased and installed and approved. In addition, there are the costs of sweeping and regular purchase of wood. The price of installing a wood-burning fireplace is almost 2.5 times the price of buying and simply putting up a Vauni fireplace. Plus, with an ethanol fireplace, you save time and space. There is no need to store wood, and the fire can be lit easily without the need for kindling cubes, newspaper or the like. The ethanol fireplace warms directly with high power!

Bioethanol - a natural product: Bioethanol is not only a cheaper fuel than wood for a cozy additional heating. Bioethanol is also a clean and renewable natural product. Heating with your Vauni fireplace is therefore climate and environmentally neutral. Our Vauni Ecoflame Premium and Vauni Ecoflame Supreme fuels are 100% environmentally friendly and renewable. The bioethanol is made from potatoes, grain, corn, cellulose and similar raw materials. The combustion process is completely clean. Only extremely small amounts of carbon dioxide and water vapor are formed during heating. In fact, not much more carbon dioxide is emitted than when you exhale. When you heat with a fuel from Vauni, you can be sure that the combustion will take place without soot, smoke or ash. That is why Vauni fireplaces and bioethanol burners do not require a chimney - an active choice for environmentally friendly heating. But also for a fireplace with high performance.

Ethanol - the fireplace with the best performance: the bottom line is that the cost of your cozy additional heating per season can be practically halved if an ethanol fireplace is used instead of a wood-burning fireplace. With a bioethanol fireplace from Vauni and bioethanol as fuel, you will heat your rooms in an innovative and environmentally friendly way. The ethanol fireplace - just as popular and warming as the wood fireplace, especially gentle on nature and your wallet.

DIN 4734 applies to all fireplaces operated with liquid fuels. These are decorative devices that produce a flame using a liquid or gel-based ethanol fuel. The standard was developed by the working group "Decorative Fireplaces & Ethanol Fireplaces," which includes renowned German and international manufacturers, in collaboration with the HKI Industrial Association (House, Heating, and Kitchen Technology). The DIN specifies requirements for the design, operation, and labeling of ethanol fireplaces. Another aspect of standard 4734 concerns the instructions and in-house production control requirements. Some manufacturers, such as GlammFire and Vauni, already offer safe ethanol fireplaces and burners that comply with this standard.

Vauni is a Swedish manufacturer of high-quality ethanol fireplaces and burners with a sophisticated design. Vauni's head office is located in Gothenburg. The premium brand manufactures high-quality ethanol fireplaces and stainless steel combustion chambers with a sophisticated design. All Vauni products are designed, developed and produced in Sweden. They are made of Swedish steel in Småland and have a high product quality.

The stainless steel combustion chambers with absorption function bind the liquid ethanol and ensure unparalleled safety. Vauni's burner is unique in the way it absorbs fuel. Combustion is slow, as only the fuel vapors burn. This makes Vauni fireplaces suitable for domestic use as well as for yachts and houseboats.

Vauni fireplaces run on bioethanol and generate heat in a modern and environmentally friendly way. This means that the combustion is completely clean and, like the air you breathe out, produces only small amounts of carbon dioxide and water vapor.

Bio-ethanol 96.6% in 1 liter bottles:
Perfect for table fireplaces. As diverse as our tastes, ethanol fireplaces have become indispensable in many households. The 1 liter bottles are perfect for occasional users or first-time users who want to familiarize themselves with their ethanol fireplace or our liquid bioethanol fuel.

How long does 1 liter of bioethanol last?
How long your own bioethanol stove burns with one liter of biofuel depends on various factors. Both

Ambient temperature,
weather conditions,
flame size
as well as draughts

influence the possible length of the burning time. One liter can last for up to two hours with a high flame setting. The filling quantity also plays an important role. The more bio-ethanol is poured in at once, the faster the total quantity burns down. Conversely, the fire lasts longer if smaller quantities are used. Two liters are sufficient for up to three hours, but a half liter can burn for up to one and a half hours under ideal conditions. In strong draughts, the burning time is shortened in the same way as with wood or coal.

Complete combustion - no undesirable combustion effects such as smoke or unpleasant odors and no combustion residues such as soot or ash.

The bioethanol fuel, which consists mainly of bioalcohol, burns almost completely without producing smoke or odors. The gas produced during combustion (the carbon dioxide and water vapor mixture also exhaled by humans) is completely harmless to humans.
No additional ventilation is required for normal ventilation of the rooms.
Depending on the room temperature and whether the windows are open or closed, the bio-alcohol should be allowed to cool down for approx. 10 - 20 minutes after operating a bio-fireplace or bio-fireplace. When refilling, make sure that no ethanol is poured next to the fireplace. If something does go wrong, the ethanol must be removed before lighting the fireplace, e.g. with absorbent kitchen paper. To further increase safety, it is advisable to wait a short time until the bioethanol residue has completely evaporated.

Burning bio-alcohol with an open flame requires as regular an air supply as possible (efficient room ventilation). In residential units (with a smaller cubic volume), a slightly open window is sufficient.

A bioalcohol fireplace does not require approval from the chimney sweep or any other legal regulations or structural changes. A bioalcohol fireplace can therefore be installed and operated in any room of the house or apartment, regardless of the domestic conditions.
