TUUCI frames are made from durable, weather-resistant materials that are also used in boat building, including fiberglass, Armor-Wall aluminum, Dura-TEAK composites, Aluma-TEAK aluminum, and hardwood from sustainable sources. All connectors (nuts, bolts, wheels, clamps, etc.) are made from marine-grade stainless steel with the highest corrosion resistance. Proper maintenance and care are important to extend the lifespan of all TUUCI products. Clean your TUUCI shading equipment weekly with fresh water to maintain its appearance and prolong its lifespan.

Before opening, ensure the shading structure is securely mounted in the appropriate stand using the locking system designated for the specific product (star grip, safety pin, or locking lever).

To open a TUUCI umbrella, extend each rib 15cm away from the umbrella mast before fully opening the umbrella. If the umbrella resists when opening, do not force it. When closing, pull the fabric out from between the ribs to avoid pinching or damaging the TUFF-SKIN fabric.

Although many TUUCI designs have been tested for stability in winds over 80 km/h, we recommend exercising caution and using common sense under extreme wind and weather conditions. TUUCI recommends closing foldable shading systems when wind speeds exceed 40 km/h. Since gusts can reach much higher speeds (especially in storms), using a stable and heavy stand is crucial for safe operation. The stability of TUUCI shading products in strong winds and adverse weather depends directly on the size, weight, and safety of the stand, as well as the intended stability of the frame under the wind conditions. Please exercise caution and use common sense to determine when to close the umbrella. Please contact TUUCI customer service or the technical department if you require shading and stand systems that are guaranteed to withstand wind speeds over 40 km/h.

Umbrella Stand

BEFORE OPENING THE UMBRELLA, ALWAYS ENSURE THE CENTER MAST IS SECURELY ANCHORED IN THE STAND. Regularly clean the surface of the stand to maintain its attractive appearance. Use a mild cleaner, water, and a soft cloth or sponge for cleaning. Regularly check that the screws are securely fastened in the stand plate. If the stand is moved frequently, perform this check weekly.

Do not roll Aluma-Crete stands (aluminum stands filled with concrete) sideways, as this can damage the surface or coating. Touch up the surface of the stand as needed with outdoor-grade paint. You can order touch-up paint from TUUCI as a spare part. Mobile umbrella stands are designed for use on flat surfaces. Move the stand cautiously on uneven surfaces. Avoid rolling the base over steps or distances greater than 15 meters to prevent damage to the welded wheel suspension.

Tuff-Skin Fabric, Curtains, and Tension Walls

TUUCI's TUFF-SKIN umbrella fabrics are made from the toughest and most advanced fabrics and yarns used in the marine industry (including: Sunbrella Marine and Awning Fabrics, Weathermax, Ferrari Fabrics, Dickson Acrylic Fabrics, Weblon, Regatta, Gortex, and other proven high-quality, UV-resistant materials). TUUCI TUFF-SKINS should be cleaned regularly to prevent dirt accumulation that could become embedded in the fabric. The fabric can be cleaned directly on the frame. Simply brush off loose dirt. Rinse the fabric with a hose, and clean it with a warm mild soapy solution (max 38°C). Rinse the soapy solution thoroughly. Allow the fabric to air dry. Do not use aggressive cleaners.

For stubborn stains, use a mild soapy solution, adding 240ml of bleach to 4 liters of water. Treat the spot with a soft brush, sponge, or clean towel. Allow the fabric to air dry. This cleaning method may partially remove the waterproofing. If the umbrella needs to be water-resistant, treat it afterward with an air-drying water-repellent treatment (e.g., SM waterproofing).

Sunbrella® fabrics are machine washable but must be reproofed after washing to restore water resistance. Sunbrella® fabrics are made from 100% acrylic fibers. They are heat-sensitive and can melt at high temperatures. Do NOT wash or clean the fabric with excessively hot water, as the fabric may shrink. DO NOT USE A STEAM IRON OR HOT AIR DRYER; instead, allow the fabric to air dry. When storing the umbrella over the winter, clean the TUFF-SKIN fabric and allow it to air dry thoroughly, then store it in a clean, well-ventilated place. To extend the lifespan, use a TUUCI cover when the umbrella is not in use.

Spreizen Sie zum Öffnen eines TUUCI Sonnenschirms die einzelnen Streben je 15cm vom Schirmmast ab, bevor Sie den Schirm aufspannen. Falls der Schirm beim Öffnen Widerstand bietet, spannen Sie ihn nicht gewaltsam auf. Ziehen Sie beim Schließen den Stoff des Sonnenschirms zwischen den Streben heraus, um ein Einklemmen oder Beschädigen der TUFF-SKIN Bespannung zu vermeiden.

Obwohl zahlreiche TUUCI Konstruktionen hinsichtlich ihrer Stabilität bei Windgeschwindigkeiten über 80 km/h getestet wurden, empfehlen wir unter extremen Wind- und Wetterbedingungen Vorsicht und gesunden Menschenverstand walten zu lassen. TUUCI empfiehlt, zusammenklappbare Beschattungssysteme bei Windgeschwindigkeiten über 40 km/h zu schließen. Da Windböen deutlich höhere Geschwindigkeiten erreichen können (insbesondere bei Unwettern) ist die Verwendung einer stabilen und schweren Ständerkonstruktion für den sicheren Betrieb unumgänglich. Die Stabilität der TUUCI Beschattungsprodukte bei starkem Wind und widrigen Wetterbedingungen hängt direkt von der Größe, dem Gewicht und der Sicherheit des Schirmständers sowie unter anderem der vorgesehenen Stabilität des Gestells unter der jeweiligen Windeinwirkung ab. Bitte entscheiden Sie mit Vorsicht und gesundem Menschenverstand, wann der Sonnenschirm geschlossen werden sollte. Wenden Sie sich bitte an den Kundendienst bzw. die technische Abteilung von TUUCI, wenn Sie Beschattungs- und Ständersysteme benötigen, die unter Garantie Windgeschwindigkeiten über 40 km/h standhalten.

Schirmständer

ACHTEN SIE VOR DEM ÖFFNEN DES SONNENSCHIRMS STETS DARAUF, DASS DER MITTELMAST FEST IM STÄNDER VERANKERT IST. Säubern Sie die Oberfläche des Ständers regelmäßig, um seine ansprechende Optik zu erhalten. Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen ein mildes Reinigungsmittel, Wasser und ein weiches Tuch oder einen Schwamm. Prüfen Sie regelmäßig den festen Sitz der Schrauben in der Ständerplatte. Wenn der Ständer regelmäßig umgestellt wird, führen Sie diese Prüfung wöchentlich durch.

Rollen Sie Aluma-Crete Ständer (mit Beton gefüllte Aluminiumständer) nicht seitlich, da dies zu Schäden an der Oberfläche oder der Beschichtung führen kann. Bessern Sie die Ständeroberfläche nach Bedarf mit für den Außenbereich geeigneter Farbe aus. Ausbesserungsfarbe können Sie als Ersatzteil bei TUUCI bestellen. Fahrbare Sonnenschirmständer sind für die Verwendung auf ebenen Flächen gedacht. Bewegen Sie den Ständer auf unebenen Flächen mit Vorsicht. Fahren Sie mit dem Sockel nicht über Stufen oder Distanzen von mehr als 15 Metern, um Schäden an der geschweißten Radaufhängung zu vermeiden.

Tuff-Skin Bespannungen, Vorhänge und Spannwände

Für die TUFF-SKIN Sonnenschirmbespannungen von TUUCI werden die strapazierfähigsten und modernsten Stoffe und Garne im Marinebereich verwendet (darunter: Sunbrella Marine- und Markisengewebe, Weathermax, Ferrari Stoffe, Dickson Acrylgewebe, Weblon, Regatta, Gortex und weitere bewährte hochwertige, UV-beständige Materialien). TUUCI TUFF-SKINS sollten regelmäßig gereinigt werden, um zu vermeiden, dass sich Schutz ansammelt und im Gewebe festsetzt. Die Bespannung kann direkt auf dem Gestell gereinigt werden. Bürsten Sie losen Schmutz einfach ab. Spritzen Sie die Bespannung mit einem Wasserschlauch ab, und reinigen Sie sie mit einer warmen milden Seifenlauge (maximal 38°C). Spülen Sie die Seifenlauge anschließend gründlich ab. Lassen Sie die Bespannung an der Luft trocknen. Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.

Bei hartnäckigen Flecken verwenden Sie eine milde Seifenlauge, der Sie auf vier Liter Wasser 240ml Bleichmittel hinzufügen. Behandeln Sie die Stelle mit einer weichen Bürste, einem Schwamm oder einem sauberen Handtuch. Lassen Sie die Bespannung an der Luft trocknen. Bei dieser Reinigungsmethode kann die Imprägnierung teilweise verloren gehen. Wenn der Schirm wasserabweisend sein muss, behandeln Sie ihn anschließend mit einer lufttrocknenden Imprägnierung (z. B. SM-Imprägnierung).

Sunbrella® Stoffe sind maschinenwaschbar, müssen nach dem Waschen jedoch imprägniert werden, um die wasserabweisende Wirkung wiederherzustellen. Sunbrella® Stoffe werden aus 100 % Acrylfasern hergestellt. Sie sind wärmeempfindlich und können bei großer Hitze schmelzen. Waschen oder reinigen Sie den Stoff NICHT MIT ÜBERMÄSSIG HEISSEM WASSER, da der Stoff sonst einläuft. VERWENDEN SIE KEIN DAMPFBÜGELEISEN UND KEINEN HEISSLUFTTROCKNER, sondern lassen Sie den Stoff lufttrocknen. Wenn Sie den Sonnenschirm über den Winter abbauen und einlagern, sollten Sie die TUFF-SKIN Bespannung zuvor reinigen und gründlich lufttrocknen lassen und sie anschließend an einem sauberen, gut gelüfteten Ort lagern. Um die Lebensdauer zu verlängern, verwenden Sie bei Nichtgebrauch des Schirms eine TUUCI Schutzhülle.
