Marlene Dietrich:

Marie Magdalene Dietrich was born on December 27, 1901 in Berlin-Schöneberg. In May 1923, she married the assistant director Rudolf Sieber. Although they were married for over fifty years and even lived together for a time, their physical relationship ended the day Marlene learned that she was in 'other circumstances', according to her daughter Maria Riva (Meine Mutter Marlene). Her daughter was born in December 1924.
Marlene initially appeared in a dozen silent films before her breakthrough in 1930 with the role of Lola in The Blue Angel. She went to Hollywood in the same year and (not only) shot several classics of film history there with other film greats.
She turned down Goebbels' offer to return to fascist Germany. Instead, she became an American citizen in 1939 and later supported the American soldiers at the front in the fight against Germany. To this day, many Germans have not forgiven her for this. Incidentally, she shared this fate with German Chancellor Willi Brandt.
Although she resumed her film career after the war, she devoted herself increasingly to music and appeared in countless concerts as an acclaimed star.
From 1976 she lived in seclusion in Paris, but two years later she appeared in front of the film cameras once again and shot Beautiful Gigolo, Poor Gigolo with David Bowie.
Marlene Dietrich died alone in her Paris apartment on May 6, 1992. She was buried in Berlin-Friedenau.

Natan Elkanovich was born in Moldova (former USSR) in the town of Orgeyev (Orhey). He emigrated to Israel with his family in 1976. After secondary school, he studied fashion design and obtained a bachelor's degree at Shenkar College.

Natan was selected to participate in the prestigious exhibition [email protected] international young art 2002, which took place in Tel Aviv, New York and Amsterdam in January and February 2002. He is represented by the 'Rosenfeld Gallery'. Natan lives and works in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
