Yes. CHRISMY is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The material is UV-resistant and weatherproof. The LED versions intended for outdoor use have an IP65 protection rating.
IP65 means that the appropriately protected components are dust-tight and protected against water jets, making them suitable for typical weather conditions during the Christmas season.
However, all electrical connections and accessories must be installed and used in accordance with their respective protection ratings.
Which LED Lighting Option Is Right for You?
When choosing an illuminated CHRISMY Christmas tree, selecting the right lighting option is one of the most important decisions. The differences concern not only the available colours but, above all, the control options.
White LED – Simple Lighting with a Fixed White Tone
The White LED version provides neutral white light with a colour temperature of approximately 4,000 to 4,500 Kelvin.
As only one fixed white tone is available, no remote control is required or included.
The lighting is powered via a cable with a plug. The products can be switched on and off using an existing switched socket or a suitable timer, for example.
Our recommendation: White LED is the ideal choice if you prefer consistent, elegant Christmas lighting without colour changes.
LED RGB – 3 White Tones, 9 Colours and Customisable Lighting Effects
The LED RGB version offers significantly more design possibilities.
You can choose between three white tones – warm white, neutral white and cool white – as well as nine additional colours.
The included remote control allows you to:
- select and maintain individual colours,
- activate automatic colour-changing sequences,
- adjust the speed of colour transitions,
- adjust the brightness individually.
This allows you to adapt the lighting to different surroundings, occasions and personal preferences.
Another practical advantage: If you own several illuminated VONDOM products, you can assign a different fixed colour to each product.
Our recommendation: For most residential applications and many commercial settings, the standard LED RGB version is entirely sufficient.
WiFi and DMX – When Several VONDOM Products Need to Change Colours in Synchronisation
Advanced lighting control is particularly useful when several illuminated VONDOM products are operated simultaneously and their colours need to change automatically in perfect synchronisation.
Although the standard LED RGB version also offers automatic colour-changing sequences, products operated independently with their individual remote controls will gradually lose synchronisation.
Noticeable differences may occur after just a few minutes.
For example, if five CHRISMY Christmas trees or a combination of illuminated Christmas trees, planters and lounge furniture are intended to display the same colour-changing sequence continuously, a suitable centrally controlled lighting system is recommended.
VONDOM Access Point HOME – Control via Smartphone or Tablet
For compatible WiFi control, you need the separately available VONDOM Access Point HOME.
This allows you to control the lighting using a dedicated app on your smartphone or tablet.
The Access Point HOME can control up to ten compatible products within a range of approximately 12 to 15 metres. The actual range depends on local conditions.
Several illuminated products can therefore be controlled together, with their colour transitions synchronised.
In this case, lighting is controlled through the app rather than the individual remote controls supplied with the products.
VONDOM Access Point PROFESSIONAL – Integration into Professional Control Systems
The VONDOM Access Point PROFESSIONAL is designed for larger installations and integration into professional building automation systems.
This solution is particularly suitable when lighting needs to be controlled through a central control console or integrated into an appropriately designed KNX or bus-based automation system.
The specific technical integration must be coordinated with the existing building automation system.
Our recommendation: Choose advanced WiFi or DMX control only if you actually need these additional functions. If you simply want to select one or more fixed lighting colours, the standard LED RGB version is generally the ideal solution.
Battery or Mains Power – Which Version Makes More Sense?
In addition to choosing the lighting colour, the power supply is another important consideration.
The battery-powered version provides approximately 6 to 8 hours of operation. A full recharge takes around 4 hours.
The battery is designed for approximately 500 charging cycles. The charger is included. The appropriately equipped battery version also has an IP65 protection rating.
When Do We Recommend the Battery-Powered Version?
The battery-powered version is particularly useful in locations where a suitable permanent power supply is unavailable.
Typical applications include:
- events and temporary installations,
- receptions and presentations,
- temporary decorative displays,
- locations without a suitable electrical connection.
However, for Christmas lighting that will be operated for many hours every day over several weeks, we generally recommend the mains-powered version.
There is no need to recharge the battery regularly, and with a suitable installation, the lighting can conveniently be operated using a switched socket or timer.
Our advice: Do not choose the battery-powered version solely for its apparent flexibility. If a suitable power supply is available at the intended location, the mains-powered version is usually more practical for continuous use.
How Stable Is VONDOM CHRISMY?
CHRISMY features a sturdy steel base with adjustable feet, allowing minor unevenness in the ground to be compensated for.
Suitable ground-fixing plates are available as optional accessories for additional stability.
Particular attention should be paid to stability when installing CHRISMY outdoors, on rooftop terraces or in locations exposed to strong winds.
Depending on the installation site, additional securing measures may be required. For publicly accessible areas, we recommend particularly careful planning of the anchoring system.
How Long Does Delivery of a CHRISMY Christmas Tree Really Take?
Delivery time is an important consideration, especially in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Rather than promising unrealistic delivery dates, we prefer to provide reliable information that allows you to plan with confidence.
The standard production time for CHRISMY is approximately 2 weeks. In exceptional cases, production may take up to 3 weeks.
Shipping normally takes approximately 1 additional week, although in exceptional cases it may take up to 2 weeks.
This results in the following estimated delivery times:
- Standard total delivery time: approximately 3 weeks
- In the event of delays: up to 5 weeks
The actual delivery time depends on the selected version, availability, delivery address and shipping arrangements.
Products already available from stock may be delivered sooner.
We believe it is far more important to provide realistic delivery estimates than to advertise unusually short delivery times that ultimately cannot be met.

How Do You Clean and Maintain CHRISMY?
Cleaning is straightforward.
For everyday dirt, a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent are sufficient.
For more stubborn dirt, the durable plastic surfaces can be cleaned with water. However, a pressure washer should only be used if the specific product version and the manufacturer's instructions expressly permit it. Electrical connections, seals and sensitive components must not be exposed to unsuitable high-pressure water jets.
Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning. Battery-powered versions must be switched off, and the charging connection must be properly closed.
Aggressive cleaning agents, abrasive products and hard brushes should be avoided.

Yes. For permanently synchronised colour-changing sequences across several compatible products, a suitable central control system with the required Access Point is recommended. If you only want to set individual fixed colours, the standard LED RGB version with remote control is normally sufficient.
Do I Need an Access Point for LED RGB?
No. Individual colours, brightness and automatic colour-changing sequences can be controlled using the remote control included with the standard LED RGB version. An Access Point is only required for the corresponding advanced control functions.
Can I Operate CHRISMY with a Timer?
The mains-powered White LED version can be switched on and off using a switched socket or suitable timer, provided the installation is appropriate. For other lighting versions, it should be checked whether the selected settings are retained after the power supply has been interrupted.
Is the Battery-Powered Version Suitable for Daily Continuous Use?
