A beautiful mirrored two-door cabinet with metal finish tipped feet, reminiscent of a golden era.

Production:
From the idea to the concept and design, all the way to production, Christopher's creations are, with few exceptions, made in-house and at the company's own manufacturing facility in Java. There, more than 1,200 of the world's best craftsmen handcraft each piece.

Wood Species:
Sunkai: Native to Southeast Asia, this wood species is used primarily in the production of the light-colored pieces.

Mahogany: This wood is the most commonly used. It is grown on plantations specifically for furniture production.

The woods come from sustainable, certified cultivation.

Lacquer:
Finishes from market leader Sherwin-Williams are applied to surfaces by hand using a spray process. An exception is the French White finish, which is applied by brush.

Metal:
Frames and carcasses are spray primed and sealed before being silver or gold leaf plated.

Fabrics:
Customers can choose from over 150 fabrics and leather types. The fabrics come from renowned Italian manufacturers and the silks from China. There are also collaborations with Alcantara, which is mainly used as an upholstery fabric for seats of premium car manufacturers, and with Kvadrat, a highly recognized Danish fabric manufacturer.

The designer and his brand

Christopher Guy Harrison, an internationally renowned designer, is the founder and CEO of the eponymous premium furniture collection marketed under the "Christopher Guy" brand. Born in England, raised in Spain and France, he now commutes between London, Singapore and the US.

Development:
Christopher's first creations came about in the mid-1990s, when he set out to design a fancy collection of mirrors under the name Harrison & Gil that was unique in the world until then. To produce these beautiful pieces, he acquired a considerable piece of land in Java and began designing and building a manufactory, which opened in 1999.

After the great success of the mirror frames, Christopher Guy's core philosophy was born - to apply the unique design to a growing range of luxury home furnishings and decorative items. In 2007, Harrison & Gil, which included both the mirrors and the newly created furniture line, was renamed Christopher Guy to offer a complete collection of lifestyle and luxury furniture under that brand.

Today:
Today, Christopher Guy's manufacturing facility in Java covers an area of 10 hectares and blends harmoniously into the lush landscape. Architecturally, the production facility is reminiscent of a huge, centuries-old Moorish castle. Christopher Guy designed this extraordinary site to reflect his passion for design in the architectural style as well.

It is all the more amazing that behind these weathered facades, a state-of-the-art, world-leading manufactory, provides jobs for 1,200 of the world's best craftsmen who do their work in this fantastic environment.

The Christopher Guy showrooms are inspirationally designed to give designers a glimpse of "the world's most fabulous lifestyles." In 2012, a new 1,100 sq. ft. showroom opened in Hollywood, followed by a 1,200 sq. ft. showroom in Las Vegas at the World Market Center in January 2013. In September 2013, Christopher Guy opened its 2,000 sq. ft. showroom on the top floor of the legendary New York Design Center.

Another outstanding project was the redesign of the famous restaurant "The Georgian" in Harrods, London. The restaurant, which is over 100 years old, was furnished exclusively with furniture and accessories from the Christopher Guy collection and reopened in July 2014.
